The Benefits of Murals

5 Ways Murals Can Add Value to Your Neighborhood, Business, or Home!

Beautification

Murals beautify otherwise boring or unsightly walls in communities, increasing the happiness of residents and visitors! The most wonderful thing about murals in my opinion, is their potential ability to transform a place or environment. You can give something new life, infused with one-of-a-kind art. Bonus! When you work with a muralist to collaborate on a shared vision, it can become something everyone is proud of.

Brand Awareness

A unique and colorful mural on your business storefront or inside your establishment can help you stand out and make sure your biz is noticed! Passersby and people on social are more likely to notice you, spreading your brand awareness, especially if the style of the mural reflects your business. Murals are all the rage right now…you almost can’t go anywhere in Atlanta without seeing some. Hop on this mural train and show your customers that you know what they like!

Social Engagement

Businesses get tagged on social media or have their logo showcased when people post photos in front of their mural! This engages your customers and presents yourself to new potential customers or clients. Murals are ideal backdrops for selfies on Instagram. In Atlanta, the mural walls along the Beltline have probably been photographed thousands of times. People love art, and they love having their picture taken in front of art even more!

Discourage Tagging

Graffiti is an art form, all in its own, but sometimes it happens on your wall and you didn’t give permission. Graffiti artists often respect painted murals and don’t tag them as often as they would a blank wall. A blank or freshly buffed wall is a high-target for graffiti. (P.S. - if you like the style of graffiti, you could reach out to a local graffiti artist for a commission! That way you control what goes on your wall)

No more grey buffed walls:
Just color and a celebration of the community!
